AJ wall light - timeless Fusion of cone and cylinder shape The AJ wall light not only impresses with its timeless beauty, but also and especially with its ingenious functionality. Designed in 1957 by the Danish architect Arn Jacobsen as part of the overall design of the SAS Royal Hotel (Radisson) in Copenhagen, the wall light is as relevant today as it was then and is now considered a design icon, as are other furnishing elements in the hotel. AJ is equipped with a round wall bracket with an on/off switch and a slim, vertical arm. The latter carries the lampshade, which is designed as a cone in the lower section and cylindrical in the upper section. The lampshade can be adjusted to direct the light to the desired area. This makes the wall light ideal as a light source above the headboard in the bedroom or above the couch in the reading corner, for example. The AJ wall light follows the concept of Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen of combining a simple yet stylish look with a useful and pleasant lighting effect in its light sources.
