Spherical designer hanging light Lamella 3 - made in Denmark The Lamella 3 hanging light is a product by Danish lighting manufacturer LE KLINT, whose trademark is handmade pleated shades. Lamella 3, the design by the two young designers Hallgeir Homstvedt and Jonah Takagi, who run design studios in Oslo and Washington, also has such a pleated shade. The slightly shiny and translucent lamp foil is folded and shaped by hand. This craft requires three years of training and is still carried out manually at LE KLINT, as even the most modern machines are not able to perform the technique in the same way as human hands can. LE KLINT is a traditional Danish company that has been producing high-quality designer lights since 1943. Production and headquarters are located in Odense on Funen. The company has been a purveyor to the Danish royal family since 2003.
