Handmade in Denmark: Caché floor lamp from LE KLINT The extraordinary thing about the Caché floor lamp is only revealed to most viewers at second glance, namely the inner lampshade, which is almost completely hidden in the outer metal shade. "Hidden" is also the word that gave the light its name. The French word "Caché" means "hidden" or "concealed." What makes this inner shade, which acts as a diffuser and creates a very special light pattern, so special is that it is laid in filigree Fungi. The white plastic film is folded and shaped by hand. The success of Danish lighting manufacturer LE KLINT, which has been producing pleated shades since the company was founded in 1943, is based on these special pleated shades - and they are still made by hand. The characteristic folding technique has remained unchanged to this day. Even the most modern machines cannot replace the dexterity of skilled and practised craftsmen.
