Each product is unique because it is handmade and must be handled with care to ensure that the light provides long-lasting pleasure and is not damaged. The designer lights from this Danish manufacturer have a long tradition. As early as the beginning of the 20th century, the first folding shades - which are still the company's trademark today - were produced by hand by the renowned family of architects, until the company was officially founded and the first shop opened in 1943. The shop can still be found at the same address in Copenhagen today. Over the following decades, a number of other models with design character and recognition value were developed in cooperation with other architects and designers, although the classics from the 1940s are still among the lighting manufacturer's bestsellers today.

LE KLINT sees itself as a modern production company with a strong connection to traditional craftsmanship, as the lampshades are still folded by hand in the production facility in Odense on Funen in Denmark, because despite many efforts, no machine could be developed that could fulfil the quality requirements of the characteristic cross-folding technique.
