A real eye-catcher in the living room or bedroom, but also in public areas, is the floor lamp Paper Cube, which the Dutch designer Bertjan Pot designed for the manufacturing company Hay. The sight of Paper Cube evokes associations with folded paper ornaments, as they are often found in Japan. Thus, the shade of Paper Cube is also made of strong Japanese paper. It stands on narrow legs made of beech wood. ECOPET, a material made from recycled PET bottles, has also been used.
The name Bertjan Pot is synonymous with unusual lighting fixtures, for which he has conducted extensive research into materials. His work has been exhibited all over the world and has won many awards. For the company Hay he designed, in addition to the lamp series Paper Cube, Maxim Box and Bag.
