Aesthetically designed Champ table lamp - Design by Philip Bro The Danish industrial designer Philip Bro based his design for the Champ table lamp entirely on the Tradition of Danish designer lights, which use curved forms to play with indirect light. Champ's lampshade is made of lacquered metal in an elliptical shape. It has a classic, elegant and timeless look and emits the light from the lamp into the room without glare. Champ is conveniently switched on and off using the pull switch integrated into the design. Philip Bro (born 1962) studied at the Danish School of Design in Copenhagen, where he graduated in 1989. He then worked for various Danish designers before founding his own label, Philip Bro Design, in 2001. He mainly designs furniture, lights and other interior design elements and works for both Danish and international companies. Sustainability also plays a major role in his designs. Philip Bro has already won numerous national and international awards for his designs, including the German Design Award in 2018 for the Moai chair from Softline. He designed the Champ table lamp for the Danish lighting manufacturer Frandsen. Frandsen was founded in 1968 and is based in Skanderborg. The company transforms its own designs and those of other renowned designers into products that meet the highest standards of design and functionality.
