BF20: Design wall lamp with plug and swivel shadeThe wall lamp BF20 is part of a series of lamps created by Benny Frandsen in 2020, which is characterized by the combination of soft, round, almost spherical shapes and minimalist lines. The BF20 series also includes floor and table lamps, as well as various pendants.As a wall lamp, BF20 shows with a swiveling shade, which not only emits the light of the inserted lamp directly through the lower shade opening, but also allows it to escape upwards through the inserted acrylic disc, which creates a cozy lighting atmosphere. BF20 is equipped with a long plug supply line and can therefore be used wherever a socket is placed within reach. For example, it is ideal as a source of light for reading on the couch or in bed.Benny Frandsen, the creator of this aesthetic wall lamp, was born in 1941 in Skanderborg in Denmark and trained as an engineer. However, his dream was to create lighting and he began to build lamps in his basement. After initial failures, he created the legendary Ball in 1968 - a magnetic pendant lamp that has since achieved cult status. In 1972, in order to cope with the great demand, he founded the Frandsen company, which was bought by the Frits Group in 1993 and merged with the Lyskilde company. Benny Frandsen remained director during this period. In 1996, he bought back the company, which since then has operated under the name Frandsen Lightning A/S.
