The Twiggy Wood lampshade is made of maple wood. Fibreglass encased in a composite material, plastic, painted metal and aluminium are the other ingredients for an incomparable design product manufactured by the Italian lighting company Fosacarini. Twiggy Wood is fitted with warm white LEDs that have a very good colour rendering index, so that colours and contours in the surroundings are reproduced very authentically. The integrated dimmer allows the brightness to be reduced as required. Twiggy Wood is the creation of designer Marc Sadler, who has extensive experience as an industrial designer in the sports industry. His innovative and experimental approach - he often experiments with new materials and innovative production methods - also benefits him when designing lights. Sadler has already received the Compasso d'Oro four times for his designs, including in 2001 for the Mite and Tite lights, which he created for Foscarini.
