Floor lamp with diffuse light - Foscarini Havana with dimmer Its shape is slightly reminiscent of a cigar, which is certainly what led to its name. The modern Havana floor lamp is made of a lampshade with four elements made of injection-moulded polyethylene, which are held together with small circular metal hooks. The individual elements do not touch each other, but are held together securely and reliably. When the light is switched on, the Havana floor lamp enchants its surroundings with a bright light that is not only visible through the individual elements, but also through the small distances between them as three thin strips of light. An integrated dimmer on the supply cable ensures that the brightness of the Havana floor lamp can be adjusted at any time. The extraordinary design of the Havana luminaire series was created by Jozeph Forakis, who has his own studios based in Milan and New York. His work is always characterised by an innovative approach and the use of materials combined with manufacturing techniques. The Havana lighting series, which he designed for the Italian manufacturer Foscarini, combines both. As a result, Havana became a successful model that was included in the permanent collection of the MOMA in New York.
