Foscarini Chouchin Reverse 3 Pendant, white/grey

Foscarini Chouchin Reverse 3 – Pendant light with bright, atmospheric light

In contrast to Foscarini’s classic Chouchin range, the Chouchin Reverse, as the name suggests, features the design in an inverted colour scheme. The range, created by French designer Ionna Vautrin, features a handblown glass shade which, in the original version, is coloured and therefore opaque. In the Chouchin Reverse 3, the glass shade remains satin-finished white, whilst the small ring on the underside is coloured. This ensures that the Chouchin Reverse 3 LED pendant light not only casts light downwards but also diffuses it into the room through the lampshade. This lighting effect is perceived as bright and very pleasant, making it particularly well-suited for cosy living spaces as well as bars and cafés. The design of the Chouchin series is inspired by Japanese lanterns, which are usually displayed in groups outside houses or restaurants in Japan. Accordingly, the Chouchin is designed in such a way that, whilst it can be used effectively on its own, it achieves a particularly impressive harmony when combined as an installation with the other two Chouchin designs.
