Foscarini Chouchin 2 pendant light, green

Traditional forms reimagined in a fresh, modern style – the Chouchin 2 pendant light

The Chouchin lighting range from Foscarini comprises three different models, which vary in shape and colour. What makes them special is that they have been designed to look elegant and harmonious both individually and when combined. The young French designer Ionna Vautrin drew inspiration from traditional Japanese lanterns, which are usually made of paper or bamboo and are often used as good-luck charms. The result is an impressive reinterpretation that captures the magic of these lanterns and creates a gentle light with a wonderful atmosphere.

The body of the Chouchin 2, the smallest of the three models, is made of glass, which has been painted on the outside with a brilliant, opaque colour. A small white border has been left at the lower edge of the lampshade, which begins to glow when the light is switched on. The light is emitted directly downwards, making it ideal for illuminating areas above tables or counters. Whether in your own dining room or in restaurants, bars or cafés, the Chouchin range impresses with both its design and its lighting effect.
