Stylish THOR table lamp with design light reproductionThe THOR table lamp in no way resembles the conventional table lamps as they are placed in dining or living rooms. This specimen attracts the attention of the room by its design and arrangement alone. It is designed as an archway that finds its place in a steadily enlarging, voluminous housing. Two versions are available, each differing in length, width and height. The smaller version is 33 cm long, 11 cm wide and 20 cm high. A 40 watt bulb is used in the E14 socket. The larger version is 39 cm long, 13 cm wide and with a height of 25 cm, it is noticeably impressive. This table lamp, which is much more of a decorative object, was designed by Luciano Pagani and Angelo Perversi. Its frame is made of metal, which gives it its dimensional stability and shape retention. The externally visible rest is accentuated by satin glass. It is kept in matt white and thus makes the luminaire also usable as a supplementary luminaire in other rooms. The luminaire always emits the same intensity of light into the room, so it is not dimmable. In addition, it fulfils the safety principles according to the IP20 protection class and is manufactured according to protection class II. It is completely in line with the collection that the Fontana Arte company recently brought out. This luminaire manufacturer belongs to the establishment, it has been designing and producing since 1932. The creative department here is given far-reaching powers and freedom, so that architects and designers think innovatively and produce structures far away from the masses. On the one hand, the focus is on classic design ideals that have stood the test of time. On the other hand, the use of modern technologies, such as LED, enables implementation in the smallest of spaces. On the other hand, modern applications that combine a mix of materials and colour playfulness set the tone. It is not without reason that Fontana Arte is often on the top ranks of international design competitions. And also this table lamp enchants with its idiosyncratic, but at the same time luminous and thus room-occupying design. Without appearing as a foreign body or even too playful to be permanently seen in the context of design and functionality.
