FLOS Lampadina table lamp, black

Featuring an exclusive bulb – the Lampadina table lamp

“Less is more” – Achille Castiglioni certainly had this motto in mind when he designed this original Lampadina table lamp. Stripped back to the essentials, the Lampadina nevertheless has that certain something. The main focus is on the extraordinary globe-shaped bulb, which catches the eye with its distinctive appearance. A circular area on one side of the bulb has a milky satin finish, whilst the rest is transparent. Thanks to this unique bulb, the Lampadina table lamp achieves a stunning, two-part lighting effect. The satin-finished surface ensures even light distribution on one side, whilst on the other side the interior of the bulb – and thus the light source – is directly visible. The lamp’s base has been designed in a minimalist, almost industrial style so as not to distract from the centrepiece. From a distance, the lower element of the base is vaguely reminiscent of an old-fashioned film reel. This houses the 230 cm long cable, which, thanks to this practical storage solution, is never in the way.

The bulb is included in the delivery, though other unusual bulbs can also be used according to personal taste, such as an LED bulb with a filament design.
