Open-design LED table lamp Lampadina in trendy colours
Designer Achille Castiglioni created Lampadina for the FLOS showroom in Turin in 1972. The design is now being relaunched in trendy colours. The table lamp consists of a clear LED bulb with a round, satin-finished circle that makes up about a third of the lamp. This part ensures that the reflection of light is limited in this area, making it suitable for use as a bedside lamp, for example. In addition, the filament look gives Lampadina a decorative effect. The base consists of a socket with a toggle switch and a film reel-like foot that allows excess cable to be rolled up.
The northern Italian lighting manufacturer FLOS is reviving Achille Castiglioni's design in chic colours in the style of the 1970s. Castiglioni was an Italian industrial designer who designed almost 20 lights for FLOS. His creations have already won the Italian industrial design award Compasso d'Oro nine times.
