Glo-Ball F1 globe-shaped glass floor lamp
If you compare the lampshade of the Glo-Ball floor lamp with our globe, the two have quite a lot in common: neither is a perfect sphere, but is slightly flattened at the ‘poles’, which, in the case of the light, adds that certain something. Another special feature is the opal glass of the lampshade, which is handblown and etched and, thanks to its texture, provides a particularly pleasant light.
The English designer Jasper Morrison, who is responsible for the Glo-Ball floor lamp, has created a modern classic with this design; a classic because shapes like that of the Glo-Ball are so timeless that they never go out of fashion. Morrison is part of the design team at FLOS, a company renowned worldwide for its designer lights.
