The lampshade of this designer hanging light is a high-quality product ‘Made in Germany’. A 3D printer was used in its production. The funnel-shaped lampshade, which widens towards the bottom, looks very stylish and has been crafted entirely in keeping with a design-oriented aesthetic. However, the shape is by no means the only thing that defines the look of ‘Flechtwerk’, as 3D printing enables an innovative design language that could not have been achieved using other manufacturing methods. The lampshade appears to feature a three-dimensional chequerboard pattern.
