Mercury designer ceiling light with indirect LED lighting
This attractive ceiling light is manufactured by Artemide, the world-famous lighting company operating in 98 countries, which was founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and whose name is a byword for high-quality products.
The creator of the Mercury LED ceiling light, Ross Lovegrove, takes his inspiration from nature. This is why his creations have organic-looking shapes, whether it is watches, lamps, a bicycle or a solar-powered car.
This ceiling light is also visually very attractive as well as unusual. It consists of a cast aluminium body, as well as a metal reflector which reflects the light radiated by the LEDs, which are installed in the reflecting elements made of spray-cast thermoplastic with a glossy chrome finish. This creates indirect lighting which gently illuminates the surroundings over a large area.
An integrated switch-dimmer function ensures that light can be dimmed in three stages using the conventional wall switch.
