Designer pendant light Calipso - an unusual highlight for the modern living area The designer Neil Poulton, who also frequently works for the Italian lighting company Artemide, is responsible for the design of the LED pendant light Calipso. Born in Scotland, he now lives and works in Paris and is best known for his designs in technology and luminaire design. Calipso's lampshade features an unusual honeycomb structure, which has its origins in an even more unusual approach by the designer. It is based on a photo of the Mond, which was processed using a PC. The result is a honeycomb pattern that has a very organic appearance thanks to its irregular structure and creates an extremely homogeneous lighting atmosphere. Neil Poulton, whose work has already been recognised internationally with many awards, including the Veio light, which won the "Menzione d'Onore Premio Compasso d'Oro 2011", was designed for Artemide - made in Italy
