George Carwardine (1887-1948) created a design Klassik with the Original 1227 table lamp, for which he sold the licence to the company Terry & Sons, which had previously supplied the springs for his design. In 1993, a descendant of the Terrys - Ray Terry - invested a lot of money in the further development of the Original 1227 table lamp, which was once made for factory halls.
