The Original 1227 series of lights by designer George Carwardine is known as a highly functional and industrial-looking series of lights. However, the Original 1227 Mini Ceramic model shows that industrial design can also be elegant. This is thanks to the lampshade made of the finest bone china, which is slightly translucent when illuminated. As with all models in the series, the head can also be tilted on the ceramic model. In the 1930s, British industrial designer George Carwardine (1887-1948) developed the typical Anglepoise look, namely work lights, primarily for desks, that are highly functional and provide the best light for working.
