Infrared warmth: Heat flexibly, enjoy consciously
When it comes to energy consumption, it's worth taking a closer look at the technology: The new heaters work with infrared warmth and specifically heat people and areas rather than broadly heating the ambient air. Many models can also be regulated in three heat levels – for example with 800, 1,200, and 2,000 watts or 900, 1,200, and 2,100 watts. Thus, the heat intensity can be flexibly adapted to the respective situation. Even at full power, the running costs remain manageable: A heater with 2,000 watt consumes a maximum of 2 kWh of electricity per hour. At an electricity price of 30 cents per kWh, this corresponds to 60 cents for one hour of warmth; at an electricity price of 20 cents, it is 40 cents. This allows the outdoor season to be comfortably extended without each additional hour outdoors significantly impacting the budget.
