Iguazu is named after the waterfalls on the border between Brazil and Argentina; they are the largest waterfalls in South America and a popular tourist destination. Just as the water flows downwards, so too do the fine lines of the round lampshade. Their parallel arrangement and close-knit weave make them resemble rivulets, with delicate gaps offering a glimpse of the interior. The light flows effortlessly into the room, creating atmospheric patterns of light. The upper opening emits a soft, indirect light, whilst the lower opening illuminates the room directly. The ceiling light is made from the popular natural fibre jute, which is characterised by its special properties. As well as being robust, jute is considered highly elastic and tear-resistant. It is mainly grown on fertile alluvial soils, thanks to which the undemanding jute plant does not require fertiliser. This offers a major advantage for the environment and farmers compared to intensive cotton cultivation. These are aspects that align with the core philosophy of the Dutch brand Good & Mojo, which aims to create lights that also do good through its collection.
