It is not dependent on a power connection during operation, because the lamp is equipped with a rechargeable battery, which is charged via a supplied micro-USB charging cable. We bought the light for our static caravan and it suits the application well. It could do with being a bit taller but that is our fault not yours. It fits into the space in the lounge area and we can use it outside if needed

Bought 2 of these…so happy with them! They have a solid metal base and for outside lights look rather classy. Easily charged and emit a bright light, 2 settings, warmish rather than bright white.
