Paulmann light bulbs with energy efficiency classes A or B are characterised by minimal energy consumption and maximum lifespan. They enable energy savings of up to 60 per cent compared with conventional LED bulbs and have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. Based on an average usage of 3 hours a day, this corresponds to a calculated service life of around 45 years.
Sustainable use of resources
Paulmann focusses on the efficient use of energy, water, materials and space and continuously strives to reduce the consumption of these resources. Unavoidable waste is carefully sorted, recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
Measuring and reducing emissions
Paulmann calculates its corporate carbon footprint annually in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol in order to identify sources of emissions and prioritise reduction measures. The focus is on, amongst other things, energy at the company’s site, mobility, packaging and the use of materials in products.
Optimisation of the dispatch process
Paulmann’s shipping boxes are made predominantly from recycled materials. Since 2022, we have optimised the sizes of our outer packaging by using smaller shipping boxes and bags. The bags are filled either with recycled paper or with air bags made from 100 per cent recycled and recyclable plastic.
Plastic-free product packaging
By 2026, around 93 per cent of active products will be packaged in plastic-free retail packaging. Since 2019, all new Paulmann light bulbs have been packaged in recyclable cardboard packaging instead of plastic blister packs.
Less electricity for lighting
LED light sources require significantly less electrical energy than traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs to produce a comparable amount of light. Light bulbs with energy efficiency classes A and B combine high luminous efficacy with particularly low energy consumption.
