The Ixa series of lights from the Italian premium manufacturer Artemide is a concept by the design and architecture studio Foster + Partners, which was founded in 1967 by the renowned British architect Norman Foster.

Its distinctive feature is the almost spherical aluminium head, which, in this LED floor lamp, is kept in balance by two counterweights attached to the two upper sections of the steel frame. In addition to the joints at the points where the arms meet, the head can be rotated all the way round, allowing the direction of the light output and the lamp’s design to be adjusted as required. The warm white light, which also boasts excellent colour rendering (CRI 90), is switched on and dimmable using buttons on the head.
