Onyxx Air Active Plus LED pendant light, dimmable and light colour changeable via gesture control

The LED pendant light Onyxx Air Active Plus from Grimmeisen, which was manufactured in Germany, enables very variable lighting of offices or other workplaces. It has an ultra-flat design and consists of glass bead blasted aluminium, anodised in natural colour, a cover with Ona Light Guide technology and a chic display glass all around. The light is emitted both directly and indirectly.

The control of the light, which can be selected in the light colour range from warm white (2,700 K) to daylight (6,500 K) and can also be infinitely dimmed in any selected light colour, is controlled via the innovative gesture control system specially developed for Grimmeisen Licht. By wiping under the sensor the light colour can be adjusted in the steps 2.700 K, 3.00 K, 4.000 K, 5.000 K, 6.000 K and 6.500 K, by holding the hand under the sensor the light is dimmed. A signal light provides visual orientation.

The Ona Light Guide technology is an innovative light guide optic in highest precision for optimal light control and glare reduction. The light is invisibly coupled in at the side of the vertical edge of the optic. The light is emitted very homogeneously over the entire horizontal surface (direct and indirect). The switchable converter of the very flat designed LED pendant luminaire, which seems to float in the room, has been installed in the beautifully shaped, external converter housing made of aluminium for visible mounting on fixed ceilings.

In 2018, the Onyxx Air series of lights was awarded the German Design Award.
