Foscarini Aplomb Mini - pendant light with an unusual surface The light was born out of a desire to work with concrete as a material. During their collaboration with the Venetian lighting manufacturer Foscarini, the Milan-based designer duo Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere developed a luminaire series that appears elegant and raw at the same time. Elements of architecture and design are skilfully combined here to create the small Aplomb pendant light, which impresses with its characteristic inverted funnel shape. Concrete, a material that is frequently used in modern architecture, is the basis for the lampshade. Thanks to a special cement mixture, which is poured by hand into a particularly thin mould in a liquid state, the unusual surface of the Aplomb is created. Special colour pigments are used to give the basic material a new and exciting interpretation. The Aplomb Mini pendant light shines directly downwards in a targeted and glare-free manner thanks to the elegant concrete shade. This makes the light perfect for illuminating kitchen tables, bar counters or counters, whether individually, mounted in groups or in combination with the slightly larger version of the Aplomb series.
