PH 5 hanging light in a new copper and white look - design by Poul Henningsen
60 years after its début in 1958, the PH 5 hanging light is still the most-sold design in the portfolio of the Danish lighting company Louis Poulsen, which was founded in 1874. The sophisticated multiple lampshade technique produces a completely glare-free light. The new metal edition in copper and white can be combined with many different colour schemes and interior styles. The warm copper colour of the surface gives the emitted light additional lustre.
Please note: the copper surfaces are untreated, i.e. the copper changes over time and a patina develops.
The architect, designer, author and culture critic Poul Henningsen worked with the company Louis Poulsen from 1925 until his death. Henningsen has defined many areas of Danish design and thought, a legacy that is a fixed element of lighting design at the manufacturing company.
