Suspension lamp PH 3/3 with three-piece shade made of metal and glass
PH 3/3 pendant lamp catches the eye with its two-tone shade, which also consists of three layers of different sizes. The suspension and the top element of the shade are in matte black and are made of die-cast zinc and aluminum. The two lower elements were made of opal glass. The black shade emits light primarily downwards, while the glass shades provide a warm glow that spreads around the luminaire. PH 3/3 can be used, for example, as a light dispenser above the living room or dining room table.
The three-part design of the shade was already designed in the 1920s by Poul Henningsen, whose goal was to design lamps with glare-free light. Today there are numerous variations of his design, which has become a trademark of the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen.
