Twinkly - The future of light decoration

Twinkly's fairy lights and LED strips are clearly different from other decorative lights in one respect: With the smartphone camera, each light is precisely located in a 3D mapping and can be controlled via the Twinkly app. With a swipe of the finger, areas of the decorated tree, for example, can be marked on the screen and highlighted with the RGB light colour red. A stripe underneath can be assigned green, therefore the tree can shine colourfully in individually created patterns. Patterns and routines from the app can also be applied to the attached fairy lights for a unique decorative lighting design.

To operate Twinkly lights, you need the free manufacturer app on your smartphone or tablet. The connection to the products occurs via WLAN or Bluetooth. Twinkly products even have their mini-WiFi which enables you to do things such as, designing lights in a remote garden shed without a Wi-Fi network.

A web application is available via the Twinkly app that facilitates the combination of several Twinkly products and their management - for this, storage takes place on a cloud basis. This way, different Twinkly light chains and other Twinkly decorative lights can be combined - for unforgettable light installations.

Twinkly decorative lights can be controlled via the free Twinkly app using a smartphone or tablet. Control via voice assistant is also possible - with all commercially available systems from Google Assistant to Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit.

To make the colourful light dance to the beat of the music, the light chain must be equipped with a music sensor - such as in the Twinkly Music Bundle.However, a music sensor can also be retrofitted separately and installed via USB.

Twinkly lights settings can be adjusted via the free manufacturer app. In addition, automation sequences can be stored for each Twinkly product via Homey to define a very individual flow of staging at specific periods. Setting the lights for only specific durations throughout the day saves electricity.

Twinkly is compatible with Homey. Twinkly decorative lights can be connected to other Smart Home devices and any Twinkly product can be easily integrated into any existing Smart Home system.

The size of the tree to be decorated matters when considering the necessary number of lights on the fairy lights. Generally, it is a matter of taste how close you prefer the lights to be. As a guide, you can calculate about 100 lights per metre of the tree. According to this calculation, a 600-flame light chain would be sufficient for a 6-metre-high tree.
