The shade of the pendant lamp Mela is made of veneer in real wood, which is why each lamp is unique and there may be small variations in terms of grain. The veneer slats go off the side of the body at the top, then spiral diagonally downward, and then are drawn inward in a semicircle and reunited. This creates the impression of a spherical shape when viewed from the side. The light is emitted from the inside without glare and creates a very cozy lighting effect. Mela is ideal as ambient lighting for living rooms and bedrooms, as well as table lighting. The veneer comes from the wood of the American walnut, it is gray-brown and has a distinct grain with unmistakable stripes. The overall impression conveys a dignified comfort.

For maintenance, simply use a dusting cloth. In addition, the veneer is protected with a UV varnish against fading due to sunlight.

The Mela pendant lamp is manufactured in Cologne by the lighting manufacturer Gofurnit, founded in 2019 by Manuel Döpper. Gofurnit stands for the use of sustainably produced raw materials, during transport attention is paid to sustainable packaging materials as well as short distances.
