Oyster floor lamp - design product by Forestier The lampshade of the Oyster floor lamp is the most striking feature of the light and is what makes it so special. The two metal rings are interwoven with cotton threads. In the centre - just like an oyster - is the centrepiece, namely the "pearl": the bulb. To prevent glare, it is covered by a round disc so that indirect light can escape into the room. Jette Scheib is the designer of this light. Scheib studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and now lives and works in Barcelona. She finds inspiration in her surroundings, in people and in how people interact with objects. Although her lights are functional, they also have their own personality and stand for atmospheric lighting.
