Pendant lamp Ribbon medium with slightly translucent shade
The shade of the Ribbon pendant lamp - a design by the Italian designer Lorenzo Radaelli - consists of interwoven, slightly translucent plastic strips and is characterised on the one hand by its organic shape and on the other by a fascinating play of light and shadow created by the combination of curves and folds. It has the effect of a decorative sculpture and serves as a decorative element in interior design even when unlit.
Combined with the minimalistically designed cable set in white with a modern canopy and E27 thread, conceived by the UMAGE Design Team, the result is a light source that can be used in many ways in living rooms and bedrooms.
The creator of Ribbon - Lorenzo Radaelli - studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and specialises in strategic design, with the aim of creating innovative and progressive products.
Radaelli designed the Ribbon lampshade for the Danish lighting company UMAGE by VITA Copenhagen, whose guiding principle is to incorporate the simplicity and functionality of aesthetic Scandinavian design into future projects, combined with high standards of craftsmanship and an ecological approach to nature.
