Dimmable design table lamp Formakami JH18 made of rice paper

Rice paper lamps have a long tradition, especially in Asia. The Spanish designer Jaime Hayon has studios in Europe and also one in Japan and is interested in the culture there. When designing the Formakami lamp series, he incorporated the Asian tradition of rice paper lamps into his work.

The Formakami JH18 table lamp has a voluminous shade made of ivory-coloured, handmade rice paper. One of the two E27 sockets is located in the base of the lamp, which is also surrounded by rice paper. Two rings made of black-dyed oak wood provide a visual division of the two areas. A dimmer switch is located on the supply line.

Formakami is produced and distributed by the Danish designer lamp manufacturer &Tradition. The company produces lamps from different decades - some are already 100 years old and belong to the great classics, others were designed only a few years ago, but are no less classic and timeless than the models from almost 100 years ago.
