Timelessly beautiful PH 3/2 designer table lamp

Even when switched off, the PH 3/2 table lamp immediately catches the eye thanks to its harmonious design and blends well with many different interior styles. This is partly due to the striking lampshade with its three-layered opal glass. The inside of the glass has been sand-blasted to create a matt finish for pleasantly soft lighting. The glass has a gloss exterior. The majority of the light is directed downwards and brightens the surroundings – perhaps on a side table in the living room – with its atmospheric accent lighting.

The beautiful opal glass lampshade sits enthroned on the top of a brass frame with an exclusive metal finish to perfectly round off the timelessly elegant design of the PH 3/2 table lamp.

The exclusive design belongs to Poul Henningsen, a Danish designer, architect, writer and journalist, who created the first glare-free light back in 1925. Many more lights followed during his time working with the lighting company Louis Poulsen between the years of 1925 and 1967. The designer and manufacturer shared the Scandinavian principle of “Form follows function”, according to which the form of the light is created by the light emitted.
