Wall lamp Signal 331 with double arm - more delicate version of the classic Loft lamp from 1950

In 1950, Jean-Louis Domecqs from France was looking for a workshop lamp that met his needs for flexibility and robustness. The search was unsuccessful and he then developed the Loft, a sturdily built lamp with chunky joints with sliding contacts, whose arm and lamp head were completely freely adjustable. Another characteristic of Loft was the hemispherical reflector with a retaining bracket, so that the luminaire could simply be pulled up by the bracket when required. Loft quickly became a classic of the French industrial style.

The Signal SI331 wall lamp is a more delicate version of the original, but no less robust and articulated. Its functionality is unique. The two-part luminaire arm can be rotated 280° on the wall mounting, swivelled 300° on each of the three integrated joints and the reflector can also be rotated 360°.

The company Jieldé - the name comes from the initials JLD of the founder - is based in Lyon (France) and stands for handmade products of the highest quality. Each lamp is unique, therefore each lamp is equipped with a plaque with number.
