Designer table lamp Flowerpot: Verner Panton's classic from 1969 In the course of the Flower Power movement at the end of the 1960s, the Danish architect and designer Verner Panton created the lamp series Flowerpot - not without reason so named. Flowerpot is emblematic of this time, in which conventions were broken and new things were opened up. Its simplicity, which is not without sophistication, is certainly one of the reasons why the table lamp is one of the classics of designer lamps today. A large metal shade and a smaller one underneath form the lampshade, which provides glare-free yet optimally diffused light. The two meter long cable is textile coated. &Tradition is the name of the company that produces designer furniture as well as designer lamps. The motto of &Tradition is to produce traditional designs - like this Panton classic - as well as to give modern, new designs a chance, so that they can also become classics at some point.
