Mini Planet - dimmable battery version of the LED table lamp by Kartell
The sight of the spherical table lamp Mini Planet reminds one of crystal balls and the beautiful effect that the crystal creates when light falls on it. Now Mini Planet is not made of glass, but of a plastic specially developed for the production of these lamps, which is processed so that the light effects resemble those of crystal.
Mini Planet is a dimmable battery version of the light series. It is switched on and off by touch and dimmed in three stages. A full battery charge lasts for 10 to 21 hours of light, depending on how much it is dimmed.
Mini Planet was designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, it is produced by the company Kartell based in Milan. Kartell is known for designer pieces made of plastic, including furniture and household goods as well as lamps. Many of the designer pieces by Kartell have not only won various design awards, but can also be admired as modern classics in museums.
