Product Description

From the heart of German history: the Bauhaus floor lamp by Gyula Pap

- - Quality and design made in Germany - -

The design of the Bauhaus floor lamp by Prof. Gyula Pap dates back long into the German history: 1923. It is here the Hungarian developed this lamp in the metal workshop in the State Bauhaus in Weimar, the College of Design during the Weimar Republic. Its trademarks are the frosted glass plate, which floats on a nickel-plated metal tube, above a black-painted iron plate. This Bauhaus floor lamp is also equipped with an anti-glare cap.

The lighting product is designed on the basis of the original designs by Gyula Pap and therefore, requires a traditional light bulb with a mirrored dome. This is the only way the original concept can be reproduced realistically, as Gyula Pap had created this floor lamp for the traditional light bulb that arrived newly then.

The authenticity of this design that was meticulously reconstructed by the manufacturer TECNOLUMEN is verified by consecutive numbering and the TECNOLUMEN/BAUHAUS stamp at the base of the Bauhaus floor lamp.

The company TECNOLUMEN - Programme with heart

The company TECNOLUMEN is based entirely on the Bauhaus-style: Their first product was the Wagenfeld table lamp in 1979. In addition to Wilhelm Wagenfeld’s models, TECNOLUMEN integrated even more design classics of Bauhaus in their program; from Marianne Brandt to the designs of other designers such as Walter Schnepel. Art Deco and De Stijl are also shaping the program of this manufacturer.
