Puk - charming external appearance combined with a surprising function
The modern LED table lamp Puk scores points at first glance with its unusual shape. The bell-shaped lampshade is made of painted metal and can surprisingly be moved up and down on the central rod. This allows the light intensity to be altered in a fascinating way: the light emitted downwards is directed straight onto the base of the light, which is made like a bowl and - depending on the height of the lampshade - more or less captures the light. At the same time, the brightness of the light can be adjusted manually by means of the included cable dimmer.
The unusual, but extremely charming design originates from the designer and interior designer Siw Matzen, who designed this light for the north German manufacturer Anta. With its small collection of lights, the latter is now one of the best manufacturers in Europe. The lights are still produced in the company’s own factory near Hamburg. Anta lights can be found in well-known hotels, restaurants, libraries and in countless modern living rooms.
