Luceplan Illan - fascinating wooden hanging light with a sophisticated LED strip

The Illan LED hanging light is made of flexible plywood. The translucent appearance of the entire light is only revealed when it is installed. Gravity causes the laser-cut wood to open up like a fan. Ring by ring, the wooden pendant light has wave-like movements and responds to almost any movement of the air.

Its three-dimensional body resembles a sculpture that treads the narrow line between art and design and combines functional quality with an attractive appearance. The design embodies a vibrant, constant variation that has a powerful visual effect and is extremely decorative.

The sheer lightness and the wooden structure create a sense of well-being, whilst the skilful use of the LED light source produces comfortable, relaxing lighting. The principle of sustainability was applied in the production of the hanging light. It is made of FSC-certified wood and the number of components has been kept to a minimum. The production process was very environmentally friendly. As the lamp is just a wooden panel with a maximum thickness of 2.5 mm when it is packed, only a small amount of packaging material is needed during the dispatch process. Illan can also be dimmed by a trailing edge dimmer, which can significantly reduce energy consumption.
