The legendary lamp series, whose first example was designed back in 1926, makes a comeback with this new version, which is produced in limited edition. The initials of its creator, Poul Henningsen, have been discreetly engraved on the socket holder. This table lamp is also characterized by the three-part shade, consisting of a wide brass shade with a white lacquer finish on the underside and two hand-blown glass shades made of opal triple-layer glass underneath, which have been glossy on the top and sandblasted to a matte finish on the underside. This design results in a soft, even and absolutely glare-free light distribution. The brass is uncoated and has fine hairlines that follow the shape. It develops a natural patina over time and is polishable.Producer of this table lamp, fascinating today as then, is the Danish lighting company Louis Poulsen, for which the designer, architect, writer and journalist Poul Henningsen has designed many lamps in his life, all designed according to the Scandinavian principle of "form follows function".
