This pendant lamp from LE KLINT is something very special: its shade has been worked by hand using the traditional "plica" handicraft technique, which has been specially reintegrated into the manufacturing process. The trigger for this was the nature-inspired design by the designer duo Hallgeir Homstvedt and Jonah Takagi - they took the underside of a mushroom shade as their model - which could be reproduced most authentically using the old technique.

The white shade is framed with an aluminium-coloured metal element at the top and bottom of the shade openings, which lends additional flair to the light that is emitted to all sides.

Lamella is the second product that the two designers created together.

Founded in 1943, LE KLINT is based in Odense, Denmark and has become known worldwide for the craftsmanship of cross pleating and the folded lampshade of company founder P. V. Jensen-Klint. LE KLINT works exclusively with designers whose focus is on tradition and craftsmanship to continue the history and values of LE KLINT.
