A carronade is a type of cannon. When you look at the light’s lampshade, it is easy to see that Markus Johansson was inspired by such a cannon when designing this floor lamp. It is made of matt black painted steel and sits in a decorative bracket made of American walnut wood on a delicate, three-legged frame. Two locking screws on the sides of the lampshade allow you to pivot the lamphsade and to lock it in the desired position. The Carronade floor lamp brings a Nordic charm into any room.

The Carronade designer floor lamp is made by the Danish lighting manufacturer Le Klint, a company with a long tradition. The company was founded in 1943, the same year as it opened its first flagship store in Copenhagen. The Le Klint store still exists in the same place today, and the lights with hand-pleated lampshades that were designed in-house at the time of the company’s foundation are still amongst the most popular items in the product range.
