This 157 designer pendant light is the creation of the Danish designer and architect Andreas Hansen. Early in his career, he developed new and imaginative lampshades for Le Klint, which, thanks to their sharp zigzag pleats, differed significantly from the company’s earlier models with a classic pleated style. The multi-faceted design of the lampshade prevents any glare and creates a unique light. Like all pleated lampshades from Le Klint, the lampshade of the 157 pendant light is pleated by hand, so that each individual product is unique.

The company Le Klint, which was founded in 1943 in Copenhagen by Tage Klint, has always produced lights with hand-pleated lampshades, and works with a number of well-known designers. Le Klint combines the traditional pleating technique used in the lampshades with modern production processes, which means the lighting creations are constantly being adjusted in response to advances in technology.
