The designer Peter Jamieson, who comes from England, had the idea for this pendant luminaire during a stay in New York. The striking shine of the pendant light picks up on the generous use of lacquered surfaces in the American style of furnishing.

The Kundalini manufactory relies on modern materials for its materials. The shade is made of multi-ply technopolymer; the outside has a subtle diamond pattern, while the white inside is decorated with a red stripe. The light passes through a diffuser made of prismatic methacrylate, which uses refraction to provide uniform illumination. New York offers itself as a high-quality direct light source, especially over tables in modern private rooms and public areas such as restaurants.
