LED design lamp Light-Air for the wall by Eugeni Quitllet
The modern LED wall lamp Light-Air is made of transparent plastic, but it has a highlight inside the shade: an inserted beige fabric shade in the downward opening device. Under the fabric shade sits the illuminant and shines mainly downwards. In the process, the light is refracted by the shade and emitted softer into the room, which contributes to an even cozier atmosphere. In general, the lamp is kept very puristic without many details and squiggles, which further emphasizes the fabric shade and the material mix of plastic and textile.
The Italian brand Kartell is known for its plastic furniture pieces. The fact that a fabric shade was used for this wall lamp is something unusual for Kartell. Kartell's lamps are created by various international designers, in this case it was the Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet who created the Light-Air series of lamps.
