Homage to the traditional light bulb: LED wall light Makeup from Karman

Like an oversized traditional light bulb, the lampshade of the designer wall light Makeup is suspended from the ceiling. A wall light that hangs from the ceiling? Yes, the designer piece from Karman could undoubtedly be called unconventional. A cable comes out of the circular, black wall mounds and leads up the wall to the ceiling. There, it is attached at some distance from the ceiling so that the rest of the cable can hang from the ceiling with the lampshade.

The wall light’s lampshade is made entirely of glass. The upper part is frosted, and the lower part is clear. LEDs which are installed inside the closed glass lampshade serve as the light bulbs. In contrast to the long-serving traditional light bulb whose appearance is imitated by Makeup, this modern light comes with energy-efficient LEDs and not with a filament.

With the LED wall light Makeup, the Italian designer and Art Director of Karman, Matteo Ugolini, has created an unconventional light fitting which is a distinctive designer piece. It is completely in keeping with the company’s style and is truly unique thanks to the production by hand.
