Modernity and classicism combined: hanging light Domenica from Karman

The designer hanging light Domenica from the Italian lighting manufacturer Karman provides an unusual combination of classic and modern elements. A blatant break in style or simply a break from monotony - that is a matter of interpretation. It is, however, clear that the designers of the light, Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo, consider it to be more the latter, as they have called their creation “Domenica”, “Sunday” in English. Sunday, as a “holiday”, is a break from the monotony of our everyday lives.

The top half of the lampshade is made of plaster, refined with a relief. At the transition to the modern part, the metal mesh, the plaster is apparently “broken off” - the modern and the unusual have broken through the monotony here.

The two designers Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo designed the Domenica series of lights for the Italian designer lighting manufacturer Karman. At Karman, the focus is always on the extraordinary, on emotions and work by hand. Made in Italy.
