In 2011, Ludovica + Roberto Palomba drew their inspiration from forest and nature when designing the Birdie luminaire series. Although the floor lamp of the series is a new interpretation of the classic floor lamp shape, there are some details that differentiate Birdie from other lamps of its kind. The first thing that catches the eye is the smartly placed touch dimmer on the luminaire shaft, which looks like the branch of a tree and creates a link to the product name. This is where a little birdie could easily land. But the narrow shaft tapering towards the top and the translucent lamp shade also allow associations with the trunk and crown of a tree to be made, thus completing the overall picture of this designer piece.

Thanks to its white colouring from head to toe, the Birdie floor lamp is an elegant and stylish light source for every occasion. As a classic reading lamp in the living room, it is just as suitable as placed in a cosy hotel lobby. The double-layer polycarbonate shade dims the incident light and radiates it evenly outwards. The dimmer built into the arm serves to regulate the brightness in stages.
